Do you know who conducts the simphony of our being?

That is our heart, which not only holds the secrets that link body, mind and spirit, but also contains stored information and conducts the symphony as essence of our being. The heart actually plays an extraordinary role – it sends more information to the brain than the other way round. We all know how changes in emotions are accompanied by predictable physiological changes, like in heart rate, blood pressure, and other bodily functions. Latest research also shed light on what has become known as the ‘heart brain’, a complex and sophisticated nervous system that is intrinsic to the heart, and consists of around 40,000 neurons called ‘sensory neuritis´.

Heart Brain (This is the most basic of our hardwiring)

→ Enables us to connect all our internal systems and to connect to others We either sync or do not sync with others.

→ When we sync we move towards others

→ When we do not sync or feel apprehension, we move away.

What we have learned from Judith Glaser, when she talks about the wisdom of the 5 brains and also the Heart Math Institute Research, is that there is remarkable evidence that the heart’s electromagnetic field is the most powerful and most extensive one in the human body, and that energetic interactions contribute to certain ‘magnetic’ attractions or repulsions that may occur between people and definitely affect social relationships.

However, the heart turns out to be more than just an organ that pumps the blood through the body. It appears to operate as an endocrine gland that secretes hormones with various important functions.

One is call OXYTOCIN, which commonly shows the apprehension of social cues and the establishment of enduring pair bonds. On the other hand, CORTISOL is the hormone that becomes activate by stressful situation.

The heart is also involved in the processing and decoding of intuitive information. Its electromagnetic field turns out to be directly involved in intuitive perception.

That’s why we say “I knew it in my heart” and “follow your heart

This is when we actually feel ‘intuitive knowing’. When we intuitively know something, we don’t sit down and think it through. We just know it; it’s there, in an instant. With this type of knowing, there’s no need to ponder the ifs, buts, pros and consin an attempt to try and work it all out on an intellectual level – that’s what the mind does with the help of the brain. By contrast, the heart knows it instantaneously.

Of course, there’s a lot more to be said about the heart but, for now:

→ It has a huge impact on the overall state of our mind/body-systems.

→ It significantly influences our health and well-being.

→ Through its own, independent perceptive and broadcasting abilities, it fosters our ability to tune into our capacity for intuitive knowing and even into our subtle connections with other people and life in general.
